Train local staff

The association is helping physicians from developing countries to get additional training.

From January to June 2003, Dr Noumou SIDIBE, a cardiologist from Mali, received additional training at the CHRU in Clermont-Ferrand.

He worked at the cardiology ward of Professors Cassagnes and Lusson building on his professional capacities for the benefit of his patients back home.

Issoire Kiwanis, one of our long-term partners, financed the whole project: travel, accommodation, meals…
We kept in touch with Dr SIDIBE, who is one of our reference person in Africa.

Dr Dophra NGOY arrived at Clermont-Ferrand on September 19th 2005.

This 41 years old cardiologist came to learn all about the Doppler technology and spent six months in the same cardiology ward.

He acquired vital knowledge to diagnose cardio pathologies in children.
He made it his topic for his State PHD.

In 2002 he founded an association to assist children suffering from heart diseases in Lubumbashi, Congo.
A large number of patients were treated on site and six of them came to Clermont for surgery thanks to “L'Auvergne pour un enfant” support.

Upon completion of his training, he went back home with two Dopplers donated by the CHRU in Clermont-Ferrand and has just been nominated Professor.
He is a very reliable reference person for the association.
