History de l'association “L'Auvergne pour un Enfant”

The first patient to benefit from the association's services was a teenager from Nepal, Devaki, suffering from a severe congenital cardiopathy (tetralogy of Fallot).

She arrived in Clermont Ferrand in July 2000 in a wheelchair, was operated on by Professor Charles de Riberolles and his team at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire in Clermont-Ferrand.

She had been unable to leave her home since she was a small girl, her movements were limited and the end was near.
Dr Raymond Miallier's attention was drawn on her case by Devaki's brother. He works as a health care attendant in a dispensary established by a French association where Dr Miallier spends several months every year.

Based on the diagnosis by a Nepalease doctor, he believes that the teenager can live.
He gets in touch with friends, hospitals, associations...

Devaki leaves Nepal for the first time in her life.

Devaki went back to her family after more than three months away.
Her father summarized what had happened by saying: “This is a reincarnation of Devaki who came back to us”.
